The militia had mobilized military vehicles and heavy and light weapons to attack the Al-Manaqil axis across three fronts: the Portbil front of the city of Arab, and the front of the village of Wad Hussein Al-Khawalda, in addition to the city of Al-Hadi with artillery.

The confrontations continued until Thursday evening, while the army forces, special labor forces, and the operations authority in the attack were repelled, and the plan to penetrate the defenses and besiege the city of Al-Manaqil was thwarted, prompting the rebel forces to retreat, after multiple confrontations and a battle that lasted for about eight hours.
