Sudanese Nationals Attack Taqaddum Delegation Inside Chatham House, Forcing Hamdok to Depart Under British Police Protection

London – Sudanhorizon
Hundreds of Sudanese protesters gathered for the second day outside Chatham House to condemn the visit of Abdullah Hamdok, head of the Taqaddum Coordinating Committee, to London. They raised pictures in support of the Sudanese army, held signs reading “Stop Killing Sudanese,” and chanted slogans such as “How much, how much? Qahata sold the support.” Protesters described Taqaddum as the political supporter of the rebel forces and condemned the crimes committed by the militia against unarmed civilians in Al-Gezira State.
Videos obtained by the Sudanhorizon news site showed Taqaddum leaders fleeing the scene as Abdullah Hamdok was evacuated under British police protection in an armoured vehicle to avoid protesters’ chants. Taqaddum members sought refuge inside Chatham House for over six hours due to the crowds gathered amid tight security measures since Thursday morning.
