The Sudanese army announced the complete removal of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia from Sinnar State after taking complete control of the “Sinnar Sugar Factory” area.
In a press statement, which Al-Muhaqqiq obtained, the army said: “The armed forces, along with other regular forces and mobilized popular resistance forces, have cleared all villages surrounding the Sinnar Sugar Factory from the Al-Daglo terrorist militia, signalling the complete liberation of Sinnar State from rebellion.”
On June 25th of the previous year, the Rapid Support Militia declared its control over the strategic Jebel Moya area, which links three vital states in central and western Sudan. The militia’s takeover of Jebel Moya posed a direct threat to cities in Sinnar State, as it expanded its control over a significant portion of it.
However, on October 6th, the army managed to reclaim Jebel Moya, using it as a launching base to gradually regain control over all areas of Sinnar State.
