Sudanese Army About to Declare Gezira State as Rebellion-Free

Khartoum – Sudanhorizon
The Sudanese Army has announced its control over the Al-Nuba area in Gezira State, near its border with Khartoum State, bringing it closer to declaring the state free of rebellion.
The official spokesperson for the Sudanese Army, Brigadier Nabil Abdullah, stated: “Our forces have today cleansed the Al-Nuba area of the remnants of the terrorist Al-Daglo militia.”
The spokesperson’s remarks follow the army’s advance from Gezira State to the borders of Khartoum State on both banks of the Blue Nile.
This progress comes after the army’s advance in the White Nile State axis and its approach to the Jebel Awliya Bridge on the river’s eastern and western banks.
In central Khartoum, the army is nearing the convergence of its forces arriving from the Military Engineers area with its forces at the General Command. Observers expect the army to complete its control over central Khartoum within the next 24 hours.
