Sudan: Inflation Rate Rises to 41.6% in July

The Central Bureau of Statistics announced that Sudan’s annual inflation rate rose by 41.61% in July 2026, compared with the same month of the previous year.
In a statement, the Central Bureau of Statistics said the general Consumer Price Index reached 718,930.72 points in July 2026, compared with 708,510.80 points in June 2026. This represents a monthly increase of 10,419.92 points, equivalent to a 1.47% month-on-month change.
According to the statement, urban inflation reached 45.24% in July 2026, compared with the same month in 2025. Meanwhile, rural inflation stood at 39.85% in July 2026, compared with the corresponding period of the previous year.
