Senegal Squad Arrives in Benghazi Friday for its Clash with Sudan’s National Team

The Senegalese national football team will arrive in the Libyan city of Benghazi on Friday to face Sudan on Saturday evening at the Benina Martyrs Stadium, within the fifth round of the World Cup qualifiers for Group F.

The technical unit of the Sudanese Football Association, in cooperation with the Libyan authorities, the Sudanese consulate, the Libyan Football Association and the Sudanese community there, have completed the required arrangements to attend the match and stand behind the Sudanese national squad.

Sudan, which leads the group with 10 points, two ahead of Senegal, arrived in Libya early and engaged in preparatory training with the participation of 27 players selected from the main list; the Falcons, as the national team is nicknamed, are missing the efforts of midfielder Mustafa Karshom due to injury.

The coaching staff, led by Ghanaian Kwasi Appiah, is working on preparing the appropriate replacement and would pick from amongst 3 players, Tayeb Abdel Razek, Bakhit Khamis and Mohamed Ahmed Arang.
