SAF: Suicide Drones Targeting Air Base in Port Sudan Downed

The Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) has announced that suicide drones targeting Osman Diqna base in Port Sudan in the eastern Red Sea state, was downed.
Brigadier General Nabil Abdullah, SAF official spokesman, has explained in a statement received by Sudanhorizon news website that on the morning of May 4, 2025, “the enemy targeted with suicide drones Osman Diqna Air Base, a warehouse for goods and some civilian facilities in the city of Port Sudan.”
He added that SAF ground anti-aircraft were able to shoot down a number of drones, but some of them hit and caused limited damage represented in the damage caused to the ammunition depot at Othman Diqna Air Base, causing sporadic explosions and no injuries among individuals.”
