Khartoum – Sudanhorizon
A unit from the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), led by Musa Khamseen, has announced that it is joining the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF), in the presence of commander Al-Nour Ahmed Adam (Al-Nour Al-Qubba) and a number of senior army and intelligence officials.
Al-Nour Al-Qubba said in a press statement that the group includes several commanders and personnel, along with a number of armed combat vehicles. He noted that the group arrived in Al-Dabba, Northern State, yesterday before proceeding toward Khartoum.
He welcomed the group’s decision to join the army, praising the efforts of the state leadership, the armed forces, and allied forces in receiving returning personnel and arranging their affairs.
He called on remaining members in Darfur and Kordofan to abandon the fighting and return to the homeland, stressing that the armed forces and allied forces include members of various components of the Sudanese people. He urged young people to join the ranks of the nation, contribute to ending the war, and help the country transition to a phase of security and development.
For his part, Musa Khamseen, commander of the group that joined the army, said they had decided to return to the ranks of the armed forces and to the fold of the homeland.
He confirmed that the group would officially join the Sudanese Armed Forces, adding that other groups were preparing to follow suit. He said the ongoing fighting under the banner of the RSF does not serve the Sudanese people and called for unity in the interest of the country.
Musa Khamseen said their objective is to return to serving within one army and one people, and to contribute to bringing Sudan out of the ravages of war and toward stability.
