Recapture of Khor Delib Area in South Kordofan from RSF

Mubarak Ardol, head of the Democratic Alliance for Social Justice, announced that the armed forces have regained control of the Khor Delib area in South Kordofan State.

Ardol said in a post on his official Facebook page: “Khor Delib in the Nuba Mountains has been retaken and the Al-Hilu-Janjaweed militias have been expelled.”

The rebel Sudan People’s Liberation Movement-North (SPLM-N), led by Abdelaziz Al-Hilu, recently signed a political alliance charter in Kenya with the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) and its allies from the political forces supporting the militia. Under the agreement, they will share a “virtual authority” they agreed to establish in rebel-controlled areas.

The RSF suffered a crushing defeat last week when they were expelled from the presidential palace and federal institutions in the national capital.
