Qatar Condemns Targeting of Sudanese Civilian Facilities and Infrastructures

The State of Qatar has condemned the targeting of vital civilian facilities and infrastructures in the cities of Kassala and Port Sudan, considering such an act a of international laws and norms and a serious threat to region’s security.

In a statement on Sunday carried by the official Qatari News Agency, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has affirmed the Qatar’s categorical rejection of targeting civilian vital facilities, calling for concerted regional and international efforts to end the war through peaceful means.
The Ministry reiterated the Qatar’s full support for Sudanese unity, sovereignty and stability. It voiced support for Sudanese people to achieve their aspirations for development and prosperity.
In the meantime, The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia issued a statement on the same, condemning the targeting of civilian and vital facilities and calling for an end to attacks against civilians and for implementation of the May 2023 Jeddah Framework Agreement.
