Power Restored to Atbara and Berber Towns

Power was restored to the cities of Atbara and Berber today, Sunday, after a power outage that lasted for (6) days, during which citizens faced extreme harsh conditions due to the power outage which has been accompanied by water supply cuts.
The power outage was the result of a drone launched by the rebel Rapid Support Forces militia targeting the Atbara transformer power station on Monday, last week.
A senior government source, speaking to the Sudanhorizon news website, indicated that the militia’s drones that targeted the Atbara transformer station came from distant areas, but that agents from within the towns were helping direct them toward the targets. He confirmed that the relevant security agencies are taking all necessary precautionary measures to secure vital facilities.
