New Sudanese Ambassador Presents His Credentials to Egyptian President

Ambassador Emad El-Din Mustafa Adawi presented his official credentials on Sunday to Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Sudan to the Arab Republic of Egypt, in the presence of the new Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty.
Ambassador Adawi conveyed the greetings of Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan Abdel Rahman, Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council in Sudan, to President Sisi and his aspiration to develop relations between the two brotherly countries, stressing his determination to build and strengthen bilateral ties in various fields, so that the two countries can pass through the stage of the war that is taking place in Sudan for more than a year.
It is noteworthy that Ambassador Imad Adawi was Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the Sudanese Armed Forces before his retirement several years ago, and before that, he participated in several negotiation rounds between the governments of Sudan and South Sudan on post-secession issues, border demarcation, and others.
