The National Forces Coordination body announced the approval of its political vision, roadmap, and fundamental charter ahead of its general conference scheduled for next Saturday.
Bakri Mohamed Al-Tom, head of the preparatory committee for the general conference, told reporters on Saturday after the meeting of the Presidential Forum for Political and Community Blocs in Port Sudan: “In our political vision, we called for the formation of a transitional government, the holding of an inclusive Sudanese-Sudanese dialogue conference, and organizing elections in Sudan.”
He mentioned that they would submit the forum’s documents to Sudan’s Sovereign Council Chairman Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, his deputy Malik Agar, and other political blocs.
He continued, “First, we will present our vision to the deputy responsible for the political file. Then, we’ll deliver it to the Sovereign Council chairman and invite all blocs within other Sudanese organizations to receive a copy of our vision. This aims to reach a shared vision so that the Sudanese-Sudanese conference brings all factions and organizations together in one unified voice for the people of Sudan.”
He added, “In today’s Presidential Forum meeting, 69 of the 83 members of the presidential body attended, with those outside Sudan sending their apologies. Therefore, we consider the attendance to be 90%.”
In a statement to reporters, Salah Kamel, head of the preparatory committee’s media committee, said, “The Presidential Forum of the National Forces Coordination met today in the administrative capital, Port Sudan. This forum aims to lay the groundwork for the upcoming general conference scheduled for November 11.”
He added, “The forum approved the fundamental charter in a comprehensive meeting of all the presidential blocs representing the National Forces Coordination, as well as the political vision and roadmap.”
He emphasized that the forum presented several papers and various perspectives, including unlimited support for the armed forces in their crucial battle against the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia.
The Presidential Forum also invited party leaders and political blocs to attend the general conference.
