Minister of Justice in Al-Qadarif Emphasizes Strong inter-Judicial Bodies Coordination

As part of his current visit to Al-Qadarif State, the Minister of Justice, Dr. Abdullah Darf, met with both the Head of the Judiciary and the Head of the Public Prosecution in Al-Qadarif State.
A press release issued by the Ministry of Justice’s media office stated that the Minister met on Friday with Judge Muawiya Al-Hajj Abdul-Majid and expressed his pleasure at visiting the Public Prosecution in Al-Qadarif State.
He noted that the Public Prosecution played a significant role, both before and after the war, in enforcing the law and maintaining order, which led to the stabilization of the security situation.
The Minister added that the role of the Public Prosecution is no less important than that of the fighters on the ground, and that there is complete and close coordination between the Ministry of Justice and the Attorney General, particularly regarding joint cases related to the National Committee for Investigating Violations of National Law and International Humanitarian Law, and the National Committee for International Humanitarian Law. He added that there are many joint cases in which the roles of the Ministry of Justice and the Attorney General are complementary.
During the meeting, the head of the prosecution debriefed the Minister on the work of the Public Prosecution in the state.
He stated that there is coordination with the Legal Department on many cases, noting their coordination and work performance are progressing smoothly despite the effects of the war.
He added, “We and the Legal Department participate in all activities in the state.” He said that the Minister of Justice’s visit to the state has significant implications and demonstrates the complementary roles between the Ministry of Justice and the Public Prosecution.
In a related meeting, the Minister of Justice met with the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court and Head of the Judiciary in Al-Qadarif State, Judge Barir Omar Barir.
He explained the reasons for his visit to the state, stating that it comes within the framework of strengthening coordination, cooperation, and the exchange of knowledge and expertise between the Ministry of Justice and the judiciary. He pointed out that the judiciary is the most capable judicial body to offer insights in the field of judicial reform, through practical experiences that reveal many gaps in some laws. He added that the judiciary is also the most capable judicial body to evaluate laws through application and judicial precedents that establish legal principles enriching the legal landscape in application and studies.
For his part, the head of the state’s judiciary praised the Minister of Justice’s commitment to the values of justice and law enforcement.
