Khartoum Water Corporation: Snipers Fire on a Team of Engineers Inside Bahri Station

Khartoum – Sudanhorizon

The Khartoum State Water Corporation has reported that a team of engineers affiliated with the Corporation came under fire from snipers outside the station but were unharmed.

In a press release issued on Tuesday, the Director-General of the Corporation, Consulting Engineer Mohamed Ali Al-Ajab, stated that the team of engineers had moved to the station on a mission to assess the damage it had sustained. He revealed that they were fired upon by snipers from the direction of the Kuwaiti Building in Khartoum, forcing them to withdraw to protect their lives.

The Corporation’s director emphasized that the rebel militia’s actions would not deter its staff from continuing to maintain the stations and fulfil their duty to citizens by providing them with water supplies. He praised the workers’ efforts and the significant roles they have played during this war.

A few days ago, the commander of the Bahri Military District, accompanied by several assistant officers, visited the Khartoum Bahri Water Station, located on the northern bank of the Blue Nile. He assessed the extent of the damage caused to the station by the rebel Rapid Support Forces militia and called on the executive body of the Bahri locality to begin practical steps to repair it.
