Port Sudan – Sudanhorizon – Talal Ismail

Abu Agla Kaikal, commander of the Sudan Shield Forces an army supporting units, has revealed he would be holding a meeting with the leader of the Justice and Equality Movement (JEM), Gibril Ibrahim, regarding the ongoing developments in the country.
Kaikal said that businessmen had proposed to him a meet with Gibril Ibrahim over recent demands he made for the Ministry of Finance to support the Gezira agriculture Project.
Kaikal told a group of editors and columnists in Port Sudan, the capital of the Red Sea state, that he had no disagreements with the Sudanese Justice and Equality Movement (JEM) or JEM leader, and that the recent remarks he made about Gezira project funding, were directed at the Ministry of Finance and not targeting any political party.
Kaikal promised the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) would soon fully capture Kordofan and Darfur and that it would reach the launching pads of the drones that have been launched against vital installations.
Kaikal stated that he was never loyal to the Rapid Support Forces militias when he joined them, but was rather intending to protect citizens from the militia’s violations, according to his assessments at the time.
Kaikal has meanwhile revealed to the media delegation intelligence information about the life of Rapid Support Forces militia commander Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo (Hemaidti) and how he has been managing operations via a WhatsApp group since the outbreak of the war.
He continued, “Hemaidti uses a private Emirati phone number to contact the militia’s senior leadership. He had wanted me to take over Gadarif state days before announcing my joining the Sudanese army, but I stalled.”
