Foreign Minister Dr. Ali Youssef praised the great positive interaction by the international community in condemning the events of Zamzam camp and the siege of the city of Al Fashir by the terrorist Rapid Support Militia
In a statement seen by sudanhorizon news website, the minister indicated that the condemnation of these events by the Secretary-General of the Arab League, the Chairperson of the African Union Commission, the United Nations Resident Coordinator for Humanitarian Affairs in Sudan and brotherly and friendly countries will increase the world’s awareness of the flagrant violations and crimes committed by the Rapid Support Militia and its backers.
He pinpointed that in Sudan in general, and in Darfur and Al Fashir and its surroundings in particular, civilians and displaced persons are killed, burned and displaced as a result of the RSF militias attacks against civilians.
A senior diplomatic source who spoke to Sudanhorizon news website considered that the condemnation and rejection of the wide international and regional, and by friendly and brotherly countries, which are still continuing from various international parties, the United Nations, and all countries concerned with developments in the Sudan, the latest of which is France, was a result of relentless efforts made by Sudanese diplomacy at the level of missions and led by the Minister in particular, through intensive contacts with organizations, unions and friendly and brotherly countries.
This was aimed to clarify the dimensions of this brutal campaign against the IDPs, women, children, medical staff and workers in humanitarian organizations in the city of Al Fashir and in the camps for the displaced in Abu Shouk and Zamzam, and to remind that these displaced people are already victims of Janjaweed operations in the past and now they are being punished for the second time.
