Egypt Reaffirms Full Support for Sudan and the Preservation of Its Legitimate Institutions

Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Migration, Dr Badr Abdel Aty, received Sudan’s Foreign Minister, Dr Ali Youssef Al-Sharif, on Thursday evening to discuss bilateral relations and review Sudan’s latest developments and field conditions.
The official spokesperson for the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Tamim Khalaf, stated that Abdel Aty expressed Egypt’s full solidarity with Sudan, emphasising the unique historical ties and close fraternal relations between the two nations and their peoples. He reaffirmed Egypt’s support for Sudan’s national institutions and their efforts to restore stability and peace while also reiterating Egypt’s stance on respecting Sudan’s sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity.
Abdel Aty was keen to be briefed by Youssef on the latest field developments in Sudan, particularly in light of the current situation in Khartoum and the Sudanese army’s announcement of its liberation. The discussions also covered efforts to support Sudan at both the regional and international levels.
