Chairman of the Sovereign Council Receives Invitation to Visit Kuwait

The Chairman of the Transitional Sovereign Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, has received an invitation from the Emir of the State of Kuwait, Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, to visit Kuwait and discuss ways to advance and enhance the horizons of mutual cooperation between the two countries in all fields.

In a statement published by the Transitional Sovereign Council’s media, President Al-Burhan expressed, during his meeting today with the Kuwaiti Ambassador to Sudan, Dr. Fahad Al-Dhafiri, the appreciation of Sudan’s government and people for Kuwait’s supportive stance towards Sudan in international and regional forums and its efforts to strengthen joint cooperation between the two countries in all areas.

He also highlighted Kuwait’s humanitarian role in supporting and assisting the Sudanese people by providing humanitarian aid during their hardships and the crisis they are facing.

For his part, Ambassador Fahad Al-Dhafiri confirmed in a press statement the warm welcome of the Emir of Kuwait for the anticipated visit, considering it an opportunity to further support the path of mutual cooperation towards broader horizons.
