Abunamu: Our Bags are Packed, Waiting for the Go-ahead from Egypt

Mohamed Bashir Abunamu, Minister of Minerals and head of the government delegation for negotiations with the American side, confirmed that his delegation is still ready to travel to Cairo as of today (Wednesday).
In an exclusive statement to the Sudanhorizon news website, Abunamu said that the entire delegation is organised and awaiting the signal to move from the Egyptian side. He explained that the meeting, which was planned to be held in Cairo, had been arranged by both the American and Egyptian sides. He added, “At least logistically, we are coordinating with the Egyptian side, which extended the invitation to us.”
He continued, “The Egyptian side is the one that gives us the signal regarding the American side’s readiness, whether to proceed, to delay, or inform us of a postponement to a specific time, or any other decision resulting from their consultations with the American side, even if that means cancelling the meeting altogether.”
