A Remarkable Sudanese Participation in Africa Day Cultural Celebrations in Beijing

The Chinese capital, Beijing, hosted a variety of cultural events to mark Africa Day, with Sudan making a remarkable appearance through its participation in activities organized by African ambassadors.
The Sudanese participation included artistic and heritage performances, as well as booths showcasing Sudanese culture. These booths featured traditional cuisine, displays of handicrafts, folk arts, and traditional music, which garnered significant interaction from visitors and praise from various attendees.
In statements to the Sudan Radio correspondent in Beijing, Osama Mukhtar, the Sudanese Ambassador to China, Omar Issa, affirmed that this participation represents a bridge to enhance cultural exchange between Sudan, China, and other African countries. He pointed out that the events reflect the richness and diversity of Sudanese culture and its ability to connect with other cultures.

The celebrations witnessed a wide attendance from African ambassadors, Chinese officials, and members of the local community. The events presented a bright image of African culture in the heart of Beijing and highlighted Sudan’s commitment to showcasing its diverse heritage and culture.
It is worth noting that Africa Day falls on May 25th, the anniversary of the founding of the African Union. On this day, African diplomatic missions in various countries celebrate the occasion, and celebrations also take place at the level of the African Union Commission.
