Tens of thousands of Sudanese citizens took to the streets in most Sudanese cities on Saturday in marches to declare and reaffirm their support for the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) in the war against the Rapid Support Forces militia.

The protesters chanted slogans such as “One Army, One People,” and raised banners condemning the UAE and its continued support for the militia.

The marches took place in most Sudanese cities, with citizens participating in villages in Al-Gezirah State and in the cities of Al-Dindir, Al-Suki, Sinnar, Wad Madani, Rufa’a, Al-Qadarif, Kassala, Sinkat, and Port Sudan, in addition to Omdurman, Umm Ruwaba, Al-Ubayyid, and other areas in the north of the country, including Dongola and Wadi Halfa.

In a speech after the marches concluded, Prime Minister Kamil Idris praised the Sudanese people who came out in support of the army under the slogan “National Unity Behind the Armed Forces.”

He explained that the Sudanese people came out to declare to the world their support for the army and their condemnation of foreign interference in internal affairs. In a speech, Darfur Governor Minni Arko Minawi stated that ending the war requires fulfilling several conditions, foremost among them returning control to the Sudanese people by ending the UAE’s presence in the country.

He said the second condition is the expulsion of Rapid Support Forces (RSF) elements from residential areas and public facilities, and the return of international border crossings, airports, and other facilities currently under RSF control.

Minawi demanded the release of all abductees and the reopening of RSF prisons to the Red Cross to guarantee the rights of detainees.

He stressed the need for severing the RSF’s ties with mercenaries and gathering its fighters in designated locations to facilitate a ceasefire and create an opportunity for peace, while holding accountable those who committed genocide, including RSF leaders and the founding alliance.

He added, “With these steps, we will rebuild our nation on solid foundations and open the door to dialogue with all those who have shared interests with Sudan, in an environment of mutual respect, where there is no room for exploiting our will.”

In Sinja, the representative of the Native Administration, Mayor Abdul Rahman al-Haddad, commended the people’s steadfast resistance against the mercenaries, addressing a message to the international community, the United States, and the African Union. Speakers addressing the large crowd, led by Major General (Retired) Abdul Rahman Mohammed Saeed, head of the state’s Mobilization and Popular Resistance Committee, demanded that the United Arab Emirates withdraw from all Sudanese affairs, describing it as an “evil state” that supports terrorist militias.

The demonstrators also called on the international community to designate the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) a terrorist organization due to its crimes against women and children and its violations of international law.

In Al-Qadarif, Governor Lieutenant General Mohammed Ahmed Hassan praised the citizens of his state for standing with the army in the current war and all wars, which he said aimed to undermine the country’s achievements. He emphasized that the army is the defender of Sudan and deserves support in carrying out its national duties. He affirmed the continued provision of financial and personnel support to the army and encouraged all those capable of bearing arms to join training camps and the ranks of the armed forces. He also condemned the UAE’s “dirty role” and its support for the terrorist militia of Dagalo.

For his part, Major General Khalid al-Qadi, commander of the 2nd Infantry Division in al-Qadarif, reiterated the Armed Forces’ determination to decisively win the Battle of Dignity, implement the directives of the Supreme Commander on the ground, and cleanse every inch of territory defiled by the rebellion.

Meanwhile, Major General (Retired) Omar Muhammad Muhammad Mustafa, head of the Higher Committee for Mobilization and Popular Resistance in the state, explained that the turnout of the people of al-Qadarif today was a continuation of their support for the army and their participation on the front lines of the fighting. From Dongola, the Governor of the Northern State, Lieutenant General Abdul Rahman Abdul Hamid, addressed a gathering of army supporters, affirming that the people of the state have historically been supporters of their armed forces, the guarantors of the country’s security, stability, and unity.

He indicated that the marches held on Saturday in the state’s localities represented a true symbol and expression of the Northern State’s continued support for the Armed Forces until the country is cleansed of the scourge of rebellion.

He offered prayers for the souls of the martyrs of the Battle of Dignity, wished a speedy recovery to the wounded and injured, and the release of the prisoners. For his part, Major General Yusuf Muhammad Ahmad Abu Sharib, Commander of the Dongola Operational Sector and representative of the Armed Forces, affirmed that the Battle of Dignity embodied the unity of the Sudanese people and their support for the Armed Forces. He reiterated their commitment to continuing the path of jihad and martyrdom until the last rebel is eliminated.

In turn, the Acting Governor of Kassala, Major General (Retired) Al-Sadiq Muhammad Al-Azraq, addressing the crowds in the city center, praised the Armed Forces and their immense sacrifices since their inception, as well as the Joint Forces and all other supporting forces in the Battle of Karama.

He stated that the turnout of Kassala residents today is a continuation of the demonstrations that Kassala has consistently offered, reflecting the diversity of all its components and sectors. He pointed out that this show of solidarity with the Armed Forces is a stand by all Sudanese people, both at home and abroad, with their homeland, especially in light of the ongoing war.
