Sudanese PM Condemns the (Kalogi) Incident, Describes It as a Savage Act
Port Sudan – Sudanhorizon
Prime Minister Kamil Idris described the Rapid Support Forces militia’s shelling of a kindergarten and a hospital in (Kalogi) locality in South Kordofan State as a barbaric and savage act.
Idris said, according to the Sudan News Agency, that the incident constitutes a full-fledged war crime and confirms that the militia has met all the criteria for being classified as a terrorist organization targeting civilians—even kindergarten-aged children.
The Prime Minister contacted the victims’ families, urging international and human rights organizations to condemn this brutal, unprecedented, and inhumane crime committed by the militia and those behind it in planning, funding, and training.
The Prime Minister also phoned the Governor of South Kordofan, officials in (Kalogi) locality, and its executive director.
Kamil Idris pledged full support for the victims and those affected, and assistance to the state with all possible means to achieve victory and stability.
He considered the militia’s insistence on targeting civilian facilities and public services—such as its attack on the Roseires power substation—clear evidence of its deliberate violation of all international and humanitarian norms and laws.
The Prime Minister renewed his call on the United Nations and all human rights organizations and people of conscience worldwide to condemn the militia and classify it as a terrorist organization.
