Sudan Announces Imminent Launch of the National Digital ID

The Ministry of Digital Transformation and Communications has announced the imminent launch of the unified national digital identity SudaPass, as part of its efforts to modernise the country’s digital service infrastructure and to build a secure and reliable electronic verification system nationwide. The ministry stated that the official launch will be announced soon.
SudaPass will serve as a unified gateway to both government and private-sector services, through an intelligent application compatible with various devices, activated via passport verification or facial recognition. It will also allow users to legally sign documents and conduct transactions electronically, without the need to print or use additional devices.
