SAF Air Defenses Iintercept Drones Launched by the Militia Over Merowe

For the second incident of its kind this week, the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) air defenses in Merowe locality intercepted drones launched by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia in the early hours of the this day (Thursday) towards the airport, the dam, and the 19th Infantry Division headquarters.

A statement issued by the division command said that ground defenses intercepted a number of suicide drones launched by the rebellious RSF militia attempting to target the 19th Infantry Division headquarters, Merowe Airport, and the Merowe Dam.

It stressed “all drones were shot down before reaching their targets.”

The statement affirmed the 19th Infantry Division’s readiness to confront any threats to the Northern State.
