Sudanese Foreign Minister Meets His Saudi Counterpart

Sudanese Foreign Minister Dr Ali Youssef met today (Monday) with Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud on the sidelines of the emergency Islamic-Arab summit hosted in Riyadh.
According to a press release from the Sudanese Foreign Ministry’s spokesperson, Minister Youssef expressed gratitude to Saudi Arabia for hosting the emergency Islamic-Arab summit, which reflects the Saudi leadership’s commitment to the Palestinian cause and issues of the Islamic world.
He also thanked Prince Faisal for Saudi Arabia’s generous support of Sudan in various fields, particularly humanitarian assistance, during the current period.
The two ministers discussed the strong relationship between the two countries and ways to further enhance and develop it, including strengthening existing cooperation mechanisms and Saudi Arabia’s supportive efforts in Sudan’s political and humanitarian domains.
The meeting also addressed the situation of Sudanese nationals in Saudi Arabia, especially those who arrived after the outbreak of war, discussing the possibility of granting them residency, education for their children, employment opportunities, and medical care.
Prince Faisal reaffirmed Saudi Arabia’s commitment to supporting Sudan, grounded in the deep bonds between the two brotherly nations. Both sides agreed to maintain communication and coordinate on regional and international issues.
