Sudan’s Ambassador to Addis Ababa and Permanent Representative to the African Union, Al-Zein Ibrahim Hussein, has criticized the African Union (AU) for its continued suspension of Sudan’s membership, which he said has weakened its role and, consequently, the African initiative regarding the situation in Sudan.

During a press conference, Moneqy, at the Guesthouse in the Sudanese Embassy compound in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, and in the presence of representatives from international and regional media outlets, Ambassador Al-Zein affirmed that Sudan and its people are capable of repelling aggression and rebuilding and revitalizing the country.

The Sudanese representative held the international and regional community responsible for encouraging the terrorist militias supported by Abu Dhabi to continue the war and aggression. He called for an end to the violations by cutting off the sources of support and weapons, warning the African Union of the spread of mercenaries and foreign fighters throughout the African region.
