Information Minister: International Community Should Designate RSF Militia a Terrorist Organization

The Sudanese Minister of Culture, Information, and Tourism, Khalid Ali Al-Aysar, has called on the international community to designate the Rapid Support Forces (RSF)militias as a terrorist organization and hold them accountable.

The minister has further urged the international community to assume its full responsibilities regarding the crimes committed by the militia and its supporters, emphasizing the Sudanese government’s commitment to the Geneva Conventions for the protection of civilians.

Speaking at a press conference on Wednesday afternoon in Port Sudan, which was organized by the Sudan News Agency (SUNA), the minister stated that the government of sudan is fulfilling its duty to the Sudanese people.

He reiterated that there would be no negotiations with the militia and its backers, and reaffirmed the government’s commitment to protecting civilians and providing assistance required.

Al-Aysar revealed that the RSF militia’s repeated attacks on El Fasher have resulted in tens of thousands of victims, exceeding the number of victims of the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center and several other American cities by al-Qaeda, which claimed the lives of 2,377 people.
