CECAFA Congratulates Sudan on Reaching CHAN Semi-Finals

The Council for East and Central Africa Football Associations (CECAFA) has congratulated Sudan’s national team on qualifying for the semi-finals of the African Nations Championship (CHAN), sponsored by TotalEnergies.
Sudan defeated Algeria 4–2 on penalties after their quarter-final clash ended 1–1 on Saturday at the Amaan Stadium in Zanzibar.
CECAFA Executive Director Okka Gichuhi said: “We wish Sudan every success in their journey to the semi-finals.”
He also extended congratulations to the tournament’s co-hosts — Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda — for reaching the quarter-finals of the competition.
