Agar Orders Airdropping of Supply to South Kordofan

The Vice Chairman of the Transitional Sovereign Council, Commander Malik Agar Air, has affirmed the government’s commitment to strengthening efforts to alleviate the suffering of the civilians in South Kordofan.
During his meeting with a delegation from the South Kordofan Appeal, Agar ordered the airdropping of humanitarian aid, providing essential supplies, and facilitating the work of relief teams and organizations, to carry out their humanitarian missions.
In the meeting which took place in Port Sudan today, Agar commended the initiatives put forward by the popular delegation to support and assist official efforts to deliver humanitarian aid, particularly to the cities of Kadugli and Dilling, currently under siege imposed by the rebel militia and the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement (SPLM).
For his part, Professor Al-Nuwarni Mohamed Abdel Rahman, spokesperson for the South Kordofan Appeal delegation, explained in a statement that the meeting discussed the initiative’s role in advancing governmental and popular efforts to alleviate the suffering of the citizens of South Kordofan.
The delegation stated that it appreciated the government’s efforts to deliver humanitarian aid to the cities of Dilling and Kadugli, amidst the current challenges.
It commended the airdrop operation carried out over the past two days, which had a clear impact in alleviating the severity of the crisis for civilian populations.
The delegation also commended the efforts of the Sayyad Movement to open the El Obeid-Dilling-Kadogli road, which will greatly facilitate delivering aid and lifting the siege imposed by the rebel militia and the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement.
