Finance Ministry Does What it Takes to Secure Safe Return Home

Minister of Finance and Economic Planning, Dr. Gibril Ibrahim, affirmed the government’s interest in strengthening the capacities of federal governance and tightening coordination between it and the central government in order to establish a joint mechanism to support the state’s objectives of preparing the environment in Khartoum State and providing the basic requirements for the return of citizens to it.

During his meeting today with Minister of Federal Governance Mohamed Kortkila, with the participation of Abdullah Ibrahim, Undersecretary of Finance at the Ministry, the minister discussed opportunities to benefit from the contributions of the states and popular efforts to complement the work of the central government in preparing Khartoum State to accommodate returning displaced persons and refugees.

It was agreed to maximize the opportunities of benefiting from official and popular support to address the impact of the war on essential services and vital facilities in the state.
