“Government of Hope” Receives 5 Newly Appointed Ministers

The Transitional Prime Minister, Professor Kamil Idris, issued a decision today, on Tuesday, appointing five new ministers to the “Government of Hope.”

The decision included the appointment of Professor Ahmed El-Tijani Abdel Rahim El-Mansouri as Minister of Animal and Fisheries Resources; Professor Khaled Ismail Ahmed Ali El-Eiser as Minister of Culture, Information, and Tourism; Professor Nour El-Daim Mohamed Ahmed Taha as Minister of Minerals; Professor Moatasem Ahmed Saleh Adam as Minister of Human Resources and Social Welfare; and Professor Saif El-Nasr El-Tijani Haroun Jaber as Minister of Infrastructure and Transport.

The ministries of Minerals, Social Welfare, and Infrastructure fall within the Darfur track quota in the Juba Peace Agreement signed in 2020. Six ministries have been filled.

It is worth noting that the number of ministers appointed to date has reached fifteen, with seven ministerial positions remaining to be filled.
