For the 4th Consecutive Month Defense Industries Corporation Helps Refugees Return Home

The Defense Industries Corporation announced the return of 950 Sudanese citizens from Egypt yesterday, on Sunday, and as well as on Saturday to several Sudanese cities as part of its “Returning” voluntary return project.

The corporation dispatched five buses from the Egyptian capital, Cairo, to the city of Atbara in River Nile State, and 19 buses to the Khartoum land port, Al-Hilaliya, Al-Masoudiya, Al-Aqleen, Bahri, Al-Jam’iya, and Al-Ailafon on Saturday and Sunday.

The number of returnees within this delegation reached 950 Sudanese from various segments of society, including police personnel, the judiciary, the prosecution, teachers, media professionals, and various families of civil service personnel.

Since last April, voluntary repatriation trips, funded and supervised by the Defense Industries Organization, have been organized from the Arab Republic of Egypt to various cities in the states of Gezira, Sennar, Khartoum, Northern, and River Nile. The number of returnees through the organization’s groupings has reached approximately ten thousand returnees from various segments of society.
