Minister of Interior in Khartoum to Oversee Police Deployment Arrangements in the State

Sudanese Minister of Interior, Lieutenant General of Police Khalil Pasha Sayrin, arrived in Khartoum State, on Wednesday, to assess the overall security and criminal situation in the state and directly supervise the redeployment of police in the state’s various localities.

The Minister is accompanied by a delegation including the directors of general departments at the Ministry of Interior, represented by Lieutenant General of Police Mohamed Ibrahim Awadallah, Acting Director General of Police Forces; Lieutenant General of Police Dr. Osman Atta, Director General of Civil Defense Forces; Lieutenant General of Police Yasser Omar Abu Zeid, Director General of Prison Forces; Lieutenant General of Police Salah Ahmed Ibrahim, Director General of Customs Forces; Major General of Police Issam El-Din Jaber Haqqar, Director General of Wildlife Protection Forces; and Dr. Mohamed Yassin El-Tahami, Acting Commissioner of Refugees.

Lieutenant General Amir Fadl Abdel Moneim, Director of the Khartoum State Police, explained that the Minister of Interior’s visit to the state comes within the framework of monitoring the deployment of police forces in the state and providing all police services to citizens.

He pointed out the continued police deployment in all liberated localities and the entry of (5) police stations into Ombada locality, in addition to the work of security cells in the state’s localities and their contribution to seizing stolen citizens’ property, working to recover them, and filing reports against perpetrators of theft crimes. He highlighted the importance of the Minister of Interior’s visit, which embodies the normalization of life and the return of citizens to their homes.

During his visit to the state, the Minister of Interior will review the situation in several localities, the status of police deployment, and various police services.

The Ministry of Interior had decided to return all its general departments to Khartoum State, in preparation for their operations from the presidency and to establish the security conditions that will, in turn, contribute to the normalization of life and the return of citizens.
