Zambia’s Red Arrows Crowned CECAFA Champions & Sudan’s Al-Hilal Finishes Third

The Zambian Red Arrows team won the East and Central Africa Clubs Championship (CECAFA) after defeating the Rwandan Army team through penalty kicks this afternoon, on Sunday, after the regular time of the final match that took place in the Tanzanian capital, Dar es Salaam, ended in a draw.

In other news, the Sudanese Al-Hilal team also took third place after defeating its compatriot, Al-Wadi Nyala, through penalty kicks after the regular time of the match ended in a positive draw with one goal for each.

The Blue Sudanese team had defeated the Zambian Arrows 5-0 in the group stage and topped their group with a full score of 9 points, only to lose in the semi-finals to the Rwandan Army through penalty kicks.
