Joint Meeting of the Sovereignty Council and the Council of Ministers Approves Amendments to the Constitutional Document

The joint meeting of the Sovereignty Council and the Council of Ministers, chaired by General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, President of the Sovereignty Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, on Wednesday in Port Sudan, approved amendments to the Constitutional Document for the Transitional Period of 2019, as amended in 2025.
Mr. Khalid Aleiser, Minister of Culture and Information and the official spokesperson for the government, stated in a press release that the meeting approved the Companies Act of 2015, as amended in 2025, the Criminal Procedures Act of 1991, as amended in 2025, and the Investment Promotion Act of 2021, as amended in 2025.
The Minister of Culture and Information added that the meeting addressed Kenya’s stance regarding the Sudanese crisis. It was decided to form a committee to handle the Kenyan situation following the appearance of several leaders of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia and political figures serving agendas hostile to the nation and its people in the Kenyan capital, Nairobi, yesterday.
