Al-E’asir Briefs Sovereign Council Chair On Media Concerns

The Acting Minister of Culture and Information, Khalid Ali Al-E’asir, presented the pressing issues facing Sudan’s media and cultural institutions to the Chairman of the Sovereign Council, General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, during a meeting in Port Sudan on Thursday.
According to a statement from the Sovereign Council’s media office, Al-E’asir briefed Al-Burhan on the ministry’s plan to modernize and develop media and cultural institutions.
The discussion covered various topics, including the rehabilitation of media outlets damaged during the war and the advancement of cultural and tourism-related projects. Al-Burhan pledged to support the improvement and modernization of these institutions.
Al-E’asir highlighted the challenges faced by journalists and the deteriorating state of the country’s media sector. He emphasized the ministry’s intention to build resilient media institutions and establish new platforms that align with modern technological advancements.
These initiatives aim to support the Sudanese Armed Forces and the people in their existential struggle.
The minister described the meeting as part of broader efforts to enhance media institutions, promising significant development and updates in the near future to meet contemporary demands.
