The Chamber of Commerce in Northern State Condemns the Militia’s Attack on Meroe Airport

The President of the Chamber of Commerce in Northern State, Ahmed Al-Mudathir Mohamed Ajab, condemned the attacks by the rebellious Rapid Support Forces militia on Meroe Airport early today (Friday). He praised the steadfastness of the armed forces, other security forces, volunteers, and strategic battalions and their stance against any blatant attacks targeting the state. He affirmed that the lands of the Northern State are protected by its sons and daughters, the heroes.
The President of the Chamber of Commerce reiterated their readiness to support and back the armed forces and fighters alongside them against the Rapid Support Forces militia. He called on all merchants in the state, as well as the heads of the chambers in the localities and their executive offices, to be well-prepared with their wealth and lives to defend the homeland and its lands, ensuring the protection of the state from any blatant attacks. He reassured all the citizens of the state and Meroe locality that the armed forces were ready to confront any aggression.
The ground-based anti-aircraft defences of the 19th Infantry Division in Meroe successfully intercepted several suicide drones before dawn today (Friday), which targeted Meroe International Airport without causing any casualties or damage. Since the outbreak of the war, the armed forces have been thwarting attacks by the Rapid Support Forces militia’s drones across several states, using highly precise technologies and countermeasures, including electronic jamming systems.
The leadership of the 19th Infantry Division in Meroe issued a statement saying that the enemy forces targeted Meroe Airport at 1:00 AM this morning with several suicide drones. The anti-aircraft defences and electronic jamming systems successfully intercepted them and were downed without any loss of life or equipment.
