On Wednesday, Khartoum State received support for the health sector from the Kuwaiti Patient Support Fund’s Sudan office and the International Organization for Migration. The support includes medical equipment and devices designated for several healthcare facilities that were rendered out of service due to systematic destruction.

Khartoum Governor Ahmed Othman Hamza praised the Fund’s contributions and support for the Ministry of Health in restoring services in facilities that ceased operations due to the war. He said, “The state is moving forward with its plan to enhance medical services and provide equipment and medications as part of the reconstruction program, which has received strong responses from the federal government and various community sectors.”

The governor also commended the efforts of the Ministry of Health staff, who, despite difficult circumstances, continued to provide medical services without interruption and utilized available resources to serve the public.
