SAF Chief of Staff Holds Military Talks in Turkey

Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) Chief of Staff Yasser al-Atta held talks with his Turkish counterpart in Ankara on Monday, and also met with Turkish Defense Minister Yaşar Beşir Oğlu.

The Anadolu Agency reported that al-Atta discussed “military relations between the two countries” with Turkish Chief of the General Staff Selçuk Bayraktaş.

It noted that the talks between the two chiefs of staff were preceded by an official welcoming ceremony at the Turkish General Staff headquarters.

For its part, the Turkish Ministry of Defense stated on its website, “Ins Social,” that Defense Minister Yaşar Beşir Oğlu received Yasser al-Atta, and that they held a meeting attended by Bayraktaş.

It explained that al-Atta arrived in Ankara at the invitation of his Turkish counterpart.
