National Economic Management Committee Urges Finance Ministry to Expedite Electronic System Completion

The National Economic Management Committee held its second meeting in Khartoum today under the chairmanship of Prime Minister and Committee Head Professor Kamil Idris.
Dr. Graham Abdel Qader, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture, Information and Tourism, said in a press statement that the Prime Minister presented two memoranda during the meeting addressing foreign exchange controls, export proceeds, and banking transfers.
Dr. Abdel Qader said the committee directed the Ministry of Finance and the Central Bank of Sudan to prepare a comprehensive study on a third memorandum concerning the National Program for Economic Stability and Recovery.
He added that the meeting stressed the need to expedite the completion of the Central Bank of Sudan’s electronic application system in coordination with the Ministry of Digital Transformation and Communications, in order to strengthen oversight of financial transactions.
The committee also emphasized the importance of expanding production across various productive sectors, diversifying and strengthening exports, and promoting investment opportunities across all sectors of the economy.
