Sudan Participates in Inauguration Ceremony of Peru’s President

Sudan’s accredited Ambassador to Peru, based in Brasília, Dr. Ahmed Al-Tijani Siwar, participated in the inauguration ceremony of Peru’s newly elected President, Keiko Fujimori, held at the Peruvian Congress in the presence of several South American heads of state and official delegations from around the world.

During his congratulations to the new president, the ambassador conveyed the greetings and congratulations of General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, Chairman of Sudan’s Transitional Sovereign Council, reaffirming Sudan’s commitment to strengthening its bilateral relations with the Republic of Peru, according to a press statement issued by the Media Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.

In her inaugural address after taking the constitutional oath of office, President Fujimori pledged to promote national unity, reform state institutions, strengthen political stability, and pursue a foreign policy based on cooperation with international partners.

According to the ministry’s statement, Sudan’s participation in the ceremony reflects its continued engagement on the international stage and its commitment to strengthening ties with countries across Latin America.
