Sudan: Inflation Rate Jumps to 51% in June

Sudan’s annual inflation rate has reached 51.28% in June 2026,
the Central Bureau of Statistics reported.

The Bureau of Statistics stated in a press release that the monthly inflation rate recorded a significant increase compared to May of this year, when it reached 44.50%. The statement also indicated that consumer prices rose by 7.08% on a monthly basis.

According to the statement, the inflation rate for the food and beverage group reached 54.49%, while inflation rates were geographically distributed as follows: 51.81% in urban areas and 51.06% in rural areas.

In the same context, the inflation rate for imported goods reached 50.23%.

At the state level, North Kordofan recorded the highest inflation rate of 28.46%, while Blue Nile State recorded the lowest at 0.25%.
