Sudanese Youth Union Launches the “Khartoum Forum for Entrepreneurship”

The Sudanese Youth Union organized the “First Khartoum Forum for Youth Entrepreneurship and Innovation” today (Sunday) in Omdurman, in attendance, and participation of the heads of youth unions from all Sudanese states and representatives of their executive offices.
The forum was honored by the presence of the Federal Minister of Youth and Sports, Ahmed Adam, and the Governor of Khartoum State, Ahmed Osman Hamza. Also in attendance were the President of the Sudanese Youth Union, Professor Ali Al-Hadi Babiker, the Governor of South Kordofan State, Professor Mohamed Ibrahim, and the Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Sudan.

The Federal Minister of Youth and Sports, Professor Ahmed Adam, affirmed that nations only rise through the efforts of their youth, praising the great national role played by Sudanese youth when they answered the call of duty and stood behind the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) in defense of Sudan, its unity, and its sovereignty in the Battle of Dignity.
The minister pointed out that the next phase requires preparing and qualifying young people to lead the country and actively participate in reconstruction and development programs. He called on banks and financial institutions to facilitate financing procedures and provide the necessary support for youth projects, thereby contributing to job creation and boosting production and development.
For his part, the Governor of Khartoum State, Mr. Ahmed Osman Hamza, praised the national roles played by the Sudanese youth during the war, emphasizing that they were at the forefront of supporting the armed forces and contributed effectively to repelling the aggression, defeating the rebellion, and restoring security and stability in several Sudanese cities.
The governor affirmed that holding the youth forum at this stage sends a powerful message confirming the Sudanese people’s ability to overcome challenges and move towards reconstruction and development. He reiterated the state government’s commitment to removing all obstacles facing youth projects and providing a suitable environment for their success, explaining that entrepreneurship is a top priority as it is one of the cornerstones of nation-building.
The Governor of Khartoum said: “The state possesses promising opportunities in agriculture, industry, and investment, sectors that require the combined efforts of young people to contribute to rebuilding what the war destroyed.”
In his address, the President of the Sudanese Youth Union, Professor Ali Al-Hadi Babiker, announced a package of high-quality initiatives to be implemented by the Union in the coming phase. These include adopting the “One Million Entrepreneurs” project, establishing the Sudanese Center for Entrepreneurs, and launching the Sudan Youth Creativity and Innovation Award.
Babiker emphasized that the forum is part of the Union’s programs aimed at unleashing the potential of young people and guiding it according to a new vision for the country’s development. He stressed the importance of supporting youth in continuing to defend the nation’s achievements and actively participating in reconstruction and development programs.
The forum aims to empower young people economically and prepare them to lead the reconstruction phase through entrepreneurial and productive projects that contribute to achieving sustainable development.
