High-Level Sudanese Delegation Participates in MWC Shanghai 2026

A high-level Sudanese delegation, headed by Dr. Al-Sadiq Jamal Al-Din, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Digital Transformation and Communications, participated in the Mobile World Congress (MWC Shanghai 2026), held in Shanghai, China, from June 24 to 26, 2026. The delegation included representatives from the Telecommunications and Postal Regulatory Authority, and the participation was coordinated by the Sudanese Embassy in Beijing.
This participation comes within the framework of Sudan’s efforts to strengthen international partnerships and learn about the latest developments in the telecommunications and digital technologies sector, in order to support the country’s digital transformation journey.
The conference served as a global platform that brought together senior officials and leaders of technology companies. This year’s edition focused on promoting inclusive artificial intelligence (AI+) and its role in building more efficient and sustainable communication systems.
A correspondent for Radio Sudan in Beijing, reporting from Shanghai, stated that the Sudanese delegation was briefed on the latest innovations and technological solutions presented by leading international companies in the fields of 5G networks, cloud computing, the Internet of Things (IoT), and artificial intelligence (AI), as well as best practices for developing digital infrastructure and improving service quality.
The delegation also held extensive meetings with officials from specialized international institutions and companies, discussing prospects for cooperation and knowledge transfer, particularly in capacity building and infrastructure development, to keep pace with the rapid changes in the sector.
This participation underscores the Ministry of Digital Transformation and Communications’ commitment to engaging with global experiences and attracting strategic partnerships that contribute to developing digital services and achieving sustainable development goals in Sudan.
