President Erdoğan Receives Sudanese PM, Affirms Support for Sudan

Sudanese Prime Minister Kamil Idris held talks in Ankara on Wednesday with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, in the presence of the Turkish Vice President and ministers of the economic sector from both countries. The meeting addressed bilateral relations.
The Turkish President welcomed the Sudanese government delegation, emphasizing Ankara’s support for Sudan’s stability, sovereignty, and territorial integrity. He also conveyed his greetings to Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, Chairman of the Sovereign Council.
Erdoğan commended the resumption of meetings of the joint economic committee between the two countries, affirming Turkey’s readiness to share its expertise in clean energy, infrastructure, agriculture, and joint projects in Sudan.

For his part, Prime Minister Kamil Idris expressed the gratitude of the Chairman of the Sovereign Council, the Sudanese government, and the Sudanese people to Turkey – its president, government, and people – for its strong support of Sudan on all questions, noting that Turkey is a strategic partner for his country.
The Prime Minister called on the Turkish and Sudanese private sectors to enter into direct partnerships in investment and reconstruction projects in Sudan, stressing the importance of the continued work of the Joint Economic Committee and the follow-up on the implementation of its outputs in a way that serves the interests of both countries and peoples.
