Ambassador Al-Zain Appointed as Sudan’s Representative to the African UN Committee

Ambassador Al-Zain Ibrahim Hussein, Sudan’s Ambassador to Ethiopia, presented his credentials on Thursday to Mr. Claver Gatete, Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations and Executive Secretary of the UN Economic Commission for Africa (ECA), as Sudan’s representative to the committee.
Following the credential presentation, Ambassador Al-Zain discussed with Mr. Gatete the support the Economic Commission could provide to Sudan, particularly in the reconstruction phase. The discussions focused on capacity-building initiatives and technical assistance.
