Kikel’s Brother and Several Family Members Killed in Militia Drone Attack, East of Gezira

Khartoum – Sudanhorizon
At least six members of the family of Abu Aqla Kikel, commander of the Sudan Shield Forces, were killed Saturday night, including his brother, Major Azzam, in a drone attack targeting their home in the village of Al-Kahli, east of Gezira.
Reliable sources within the Sudan Shield Forces told Sudanhorizon on Sunday that a militia drone flew over the village of Al-Kahli Zeidan before launching missiles at the Kikel family home.
They reported that Major Azzam Kikel and others were killed, while his brothers, Haider and Khalid, were wounded.
Youssef Amara Abu Sin, a leader in the Sudan Shield Forces, stated in a Facebook post that the Kikel family martyrs were buried in the village of Al-Kahli Zeidan at dawn today, after being targeted by UAE aggression drones.
He added: “A group of good people, including women and children, have ascended to martyrdom. May Allah have mercy on them.”
In a previous post, Abu Sin commented on the incident: “You will not hear us wailing over the loss of life or property, nor will we be seeking help from any creature. Death is the path of those who came before and those who will come after, and defending one’s honor and land is a source of pride. We will remain as we are, and history will record this.”
He continued: “May Allah accept the martyrs: Azzam Kikel, Muhammad al-Siddiq Kikel, Abdullah Qasim Allah Rahma, al-Siddiq Bakhit Muhammad Bakhit… and Haider Kikel and Khalid Kikel are wounded.”
