Start of Issuing Official Documents for Sudanese Nationals in Ethiopia

The Sudanese Ambassador to Ethiopia and Permanent Representative, Al-Zein Ibrahim Hussein, officially launched on Tuesday the service for issuing national identification numbers and birth certificates for the Sudanese community and residents in Ethiopia.
The ambassador inspected the passports and civil registry center at the embassy, accompanied by members of the diplomatic mission.
He praised the Director General of Police and the General Administration of Passports and Civil Registry for enabling the mission to complete procedures for issuing birth certificates and national identification numbers, in service of Sudanese citizens residing in Ethiopia and those in transit, as part of the state’s efforts to ensure citizens can obtain their official documents.
He also commended the efforts of the passports and civil registry section at the embassy, led by Colonel Abdelrahman Mohamed Ibrahim, for completing all services related to the civil registry.
The ambassador confirmed that the procedures center at the embassy will continue to provide its best services in issuing national identification numbers, birth certificates, passports, emergency travel documents, and police clearance certificates.
