Limited Government Restructuring in River Nile State

Senior sources within the River Nile State government revealed that, following approval from the Federal Ministry of Governance and Rural Development, the governor carried out a limited reshuffle of the state’s ministerial structure and appointed ministers to head the newly restructured ministries.

According to sources who spoke to Sudanhorizon, the Ministries of Agriculture and Livestock were merged into a single ministry, with Salah Karkaba appointed as its head. The Ministries of Health and Social Welfare were also merged into one ministry, with former Minister of Culture and Information, Mustafa Mohammed Osman Al-Sharif, appointed to lead it.

Additionally, the Ministry of Culture and Information was restructured into a Supreme Council for Culture and Information, with Dr. Luay Mustafa appointed as its chairman with ministerial rank. The name of the Ministry of Investment was also changed to the Investment Commission, with Othman Amara appointed as its head.
